Now that 2019 is upon us — indeed, I’ve already executed the first IBP purchase of the year — I thought I’d share my “watch list” of companies I’m considering for the portfolio.

There are many reasons I like this stock, but high on the list: a dividend that has been increased annually for 41 consecutive years and that is easily covered by the company’s free cash flow and earnings.

It will be our 25th purchase in our Income Builder Portfolio.
